- The mandate of the department is to evolve appropriate agricultural
technologies for each of the agro-ecological zones of the province by
need based research and to disseminate such evolved and proven
technologies through advanced extension tools to the farming community
by exploiting vast culturable waste and harnessing massive flood water
through land development and mechanized farming to ensure food security
and sustainability.
