NOTIFICATION

In pursuance to the Scheme of Amalgamation of Burj Bank Limited with and into Al Baraka Bank (Pakistan) Limited, sanctioned on October 14, 2016 under Section 48 of the Banking Companies Ordinance, 1962 (BCO), the State Bank of Pakistan in exercise of powers conferred on it by Section 27 (4) (i) of the BCO, is pleased to announce that the banking license of Burj Bank Limited will stand cancelled with effect from close of business on October 31, 2016.
