Dear Sirs,

Foreign Remittances on account of Donations/Aid for Earthquake Victims

Attention of the Authorized Dealers is invited to the foreign remittances being received on account of Donations/Aid for the relief of victims of the recent earthquake. These remittances are being received from abroad by the Government, as well as by the Private Sector in Pakistan.
With a view to streamlining the reporting process of the above transactions, it has been decided that the Authorized Dealers will report all such transactions on Schedule “J” alongwith Form “R”. For this purpose, the following codes will be used from the Code List No. 5 (Invisible & Capital Receipts) for Official Donations (where recipient is Government) and Private Donations (where recipient is Private Sector):
Description Code
1. Official Donations (Aid & Relief related) 9454
2. Private Donations 9473

Authorized Dealers are advised to bring the above to the notice of their constituents.
