Dear Sirs,

Authorized Dealers are advised that a Foreign Exchange Dept. Of the State Bank of Pakistan has started functioning at Bahawalpur with effect from 21^st January, 1996. The said office shall undertake foreign exchange work relating to private remittances, cases of travel abroad and commercial work like exports, imports and its related transactions including foreign exchange returns.

2. Accordingly, Authorized Dealers in Bahawalpur Division will direct their Foreign Exchange work to the Assistant Director, Foreign Exchange Department, State Bank of Pakistan, 25-C, Shabbir Shaheed Road, Model Town-A, Bahawalpur. The telegraphic address of the Office is "Pak money Bahawalpur" and its Phone Number is 874043.

3. Monthly Foreign Exchange Returns for the month of February, 1996 and onwards will be submitted by the Authorized Dealers concerned to the Foreign Exchange Dept. Of the State Bank of Pakistan at Bahwalpur.

4. Consequent upon the above, the following addition/amendment may please be made in Para 4 of Chapter 1 of Foreign Exchange Manual (7^th Edition, 1992):-

1. In entry No.(8), delete the "comma(,) and
   The word Bahwalpur".

2. Add the following as entry No.14:-
   "(14) Assistant Director, Bahawalpur;
   Bahwalpur Division".
