These include pursuing monetary and price stability; ensuring a sound banking sector; ensuring safe and efficient payment systems; issuing and distributing currency; providing banking services to Government; and managing the nations reserves.

Strategic Plan
SBP has launched its Strategic Plan, titled ‘Vision 2020’ in 2015.  This is the third such Plan for SBP to set the direction of the Bank for the next 5 years from 2016- 2020 to deliver effective and efficient outcomes at every level of its strategic imperatives.
