ØIn the implementation of Basel III guidelines we have adopted a cautious
approach inasmuch as the minimum capital requirement has been kept at 1 percentage point higher than that stipulated under Basel III to address the
possible inadequacies in the capital allocation process and also the model
risks in banks.
ØThe implementation schedule is also
marginally advanced by 9 months to be complied by March 31, 2018 against the
Basel requirement of January 01, 2019.
