All Banks/NBFIs

Dear Sirs,

DISCLOSURE OF SIGNATORY ON CORRESPONDENCE/RETURNS

 
It has been noted that some officials of Banks/NBFIs while signing the statements/returns, letters etc addressed to SBP do not indicate their names and designation & simply write "authorized signatory, on behalf of, for President/SEVP/EVP etc". This practice creates difficulties in locating/identifying the concerned official for obtaining further information/clarification in case of urgency and verifications of data.

2.    All banks/NBFIs are therefore, directed that signatory(ies) of statements,returns coresspondence etc., addressed to  State Bank, must invariably clearly indicate his full name, designation, telephone number and fax number.

3.    Non compliance of above instructions shall attract penal provision under Banking Companies ordinance, 1962.
