It is informed that SBP-BSC field offices will remain open on September 29, 2012 (Saturday) till 8:00 p.m. and on September 30, 2012 (Sunday) till 10:00 p.m. while designated branches of National Bank of Pakistan (NBP) will remain open on September 29 & 30, 2012 till 8:00 p.m. for collection of Government taxes and duties. Further, NIFT will provide special clearing facility after 4.00 p.m. on September 30, 2012 (Sunday) in order to ensure that all receipts collected on September 30, 2012 are credited to the Government Accounts on the same date.

2.      In order to facilitate collection of Taxes, all the banks/MFBs are advised to provide banking facilities on September 30, 2012 (Sunday) till such time that is necessary to facilitate the special clearing by NIFT to be held immediately after 4:00 p.m. on September 30, 2012. Further, banks/MFBs are advised to incorporate the impact of September 30, 2012 (Sunday) clearings and the permissible activities by designated branches on the same day, in the books of accounts for preparation of their quarterly financial statements. .
