It is informed that SBP-BSC and all its field offices will remain open on 31st December 2011 (Saturday) to facilitate tax collection. NIFT will also remain open on 31st December 2011 for both first and second clearing for facilitating tax collection by FBR.

2. In addition to branches that are normally opened on Saturdays, banks/MFBs are advised to open, on 31st December 2011 (Saturday), such other offices and branches that are necessary to facilitate aforesaid NIFT clearings on Saturday the December 31, 2011. Further the impact of said Saturday clearings and the permissible activities by opened branches/offices should be taken on the same day in the books of accounts for preparation of their quarterly/half-yearly/yearly financial statements.
