Reproduced are the contents of Government of Pakistan, Ministry of Interior Press Release No.8/2/2008-Public (Corri) dated the 14th April, 2009 on the subject.

     {i. In pursuance of the decision of the Federal Government in case No.36/05 /2009 dated 08.04.2009, it is notified for information of the general public that watches / clocks be advanced/moved forward by One Hour (GMT +6) from 1st April, 2009 till 31st October, 2009 (Seven Months) to mitigate power shortages. However, this year watches/clocks will be advanced w.e.f.15th April, 2009.

     ii. Subsequently, Day Light Saving by advancement of watches/clocks every year would be adopted automatically and regularly.}

     All the banks/DFIs/MFBs are therefore advised to follow the instructions and implement the above decision accordingly.
