Please refer to Regulation R-8, para 4 of the Prudential Regulations for Small & Medium Enterprises Financing which requires banks/DFIs to obtain Borrower’s Basic Fact Sheet (BBFS) under seal and signature of the borrower on the BBFS.

2. In order to facilitate SME Financing and on the representation of banks, it has been decided to withdraw requirement of seal/stamp on the BBFS in respect of individual & sole proprietorship borrowers.

3. All other instructions on the subject shall remain unchanged.
