Dear Sirs/Madam,

Trade Policy 2007-08- Letters of Credit for Import of Precursor Chemicals

Please refer to BPRD Circular Letter No. 23 dated August 24, 2007 on the above subject.

The instructions conveyed vide the above-said circular letter regarding requirement of NOC of Ministry of Narcotics Control for import of precursors have been withdrawn with immediate effect pursuant to corrigendum issued by the Cabinet Division dated 12th October, 2007. In other words, the letters of credit for the import of precursor chemicals would not require NOC from the Ministry of Narcotics Control.
