Concession for senior citizens

As per BSD Circular Letter No.17 of June 12, 2000 and subsequent letter No.BPD(PU-35)/682-Govt./26833/2004-12990 dated October 11, 2004, banks/DFIs have been advised to ensure extension of special assistance and due care to senior citizens, disabled and handicapped persons in their genuine banking needs/services in order to alleviate their hardship. Further, banks/DFIs have also been advised to take specific steps to facilitate senior citizens in availing banking facilities.
