RELIEF EFFORTS FOR EARTHQUAKE VICTIMS –
OPENING OF ACCOUNTS

In order to help the victims of the Earthquake and to speed up the work of rehabilitation, the banks are advised to facilitate the opening of accounts by the NGOs and other Welfare Organizations while following the Regulation M-1 of Prudential Regulations for Corporate and Commercial Banking.

2. Foreign currency deposits under FE-25 deposit scheme of the NGOs and other Welfare Organizations which are for the above mentioned purpose shall be excluded from the limit on FE-25 deposits scheme prescribed under para 6 of Regulation O-5 of the Prudential Regulations for Corporate and Commercial Banking.
