Circular No. 29 dated October 15, 2002 in terms of which the
disputes that may arise between the borrower and the Bank/DFI
will be resolved through “SBP Committee”.

Accordingly, a committee under the chairmanship of
Mr. Inam Ellahi and comprising following members representing
Pakistan Banks’ Association (PBA) and Federation of Pakistan
Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FPCCI) has been constituted:

The above Committee has been constituted for a period
of 6 months from the date of issuance of this circular letter.
It will examine and decide the complaints filed by the Bank/
borrower relating to the scheme notified vide BPD Circular
No. 29/ 2002 and other instructions issued in this regard
from time to time. The decision of the Committee shall be
binding on the concerned parties. Banks/DFIs as well as the
general public is advised to forward their complaints with
reference to aforesaid scheme to the Secretary, “SBP Committee”

The Banks/DFIs are advised to extend their fullest
support to the said committee to ensure early resolution of
disputes and implementation of committee’s decisions in letter
and spirit.
