As the financial sector in Pakistan consolidates and strengthens, it has become necessary that guidelines be issued which should be followed uniformly to structure and discipline the process of conducting due diligence of banks / DFIs for the purpose of merger / amalgamation or local incorporation of banks.

2.        The Minimum Guidelines, attached with this Circular should be followed in both letter and in spirit.
