Please refer to BSD Circular No.11 dated 17^th March 2001 enclosing therewith revised Branch Licensing Policy effective from Ist April 2001 and BSD Circular letters No. 22 & 23 dated 29^th August and 28^th  September 2001 respectively  on the captioned subject .

2.         In order to consolidate all the instructions relating to Branch Licensing Policy and Automated Teller Machines (ATMs), clarifying some of the issues which cropped up after issuance of branch licensing policy, slight amendment to further liberalize opening of booths, ATMs etc., the BSD Circular No.11 dated 17^th March 2001 has been substituted. The updated Branch Licensing Policy is attached herewith for information and further necessary action. In this context, BSD aforesaid circular/circular letters issued on the subject and BSD Circular No.08 dated 13^th February 2001 regarding ATM shall stand cancelled.
