It has been noticed time and again that queries/clarifications relating to circulars/ circular letters/ instructions issued by SBP are sought directly either by field functionaries or different officers of Banks/DFIs without in-depth study of the instructions and knowledge of concerned Head of the Department/Group of the Bank/DFI. The forwarding of such references to the Central Bank results in wastage of precious time in unnecessary correspondence in the matter.

2.         In order to streamline the process for expeditious disposal of the references in this regard, it has been decided that all such references seeking clarification on the instructions should be cleared and forwarded to the State Bank by at-least the Departmental/ Business/ Group Head of your institution. It would be appreciated if these instructions are notified to all concerned down the line to strictly follow the above procedure.
