The
Museum has permanent, temporary displays. The permanent displays
are in the rooms, downstairs while the Mezzanine floor is declared
as Art Gallery. During 1960's Sadequain the world renowned Artist/painter
of Pakistan worked closely with SBP and painted several Murals,
paintings, collages for the Bank. The SBP has the honor of being
the custodian of the same, the world famous Murals "Holy Sinner"
size 60' X 8' will be displayed alongwith other works of Art by
Sadequain in the hall and a room dedicated to Sadequain.
The other room will be displaying the History of Art/Painting in
Pakistan. This is going to be temporary exhibition on quarterly
basis, with an objective to provide a cultural & historic resource
for lifelong learning & enrichment of cultural life of the artists/painters.
The temporary exhibition program establishes the art gallery as
a centre of excellence for the arts by providing exhibitions of
regional, national & international significance. |
