The sixth and the last workshop entitled "Covering Banking and Payment Systems" was held on December 14, 2018 from 9:00 a.m. to 5:30
p.m. at IBA, Aman Tower, City Campus, Garden East, Karachi. The topic delineated about banking and payment systems. The banking covered broad overview of applicable laws, bank and branch opening, type of deposit accounts, KYC requirements, money laundering/terrorism financing risks and how these risks are managed.
Under payment and settlement systems, the areas like payment echo system in Pakistan, transactions and clearing, mechanism for oversight of retail payment system and cyber-crime in online payment systems were addressed.
