Dear Sirs,

25% FREIGHT SUBSIDY ON EXPORTS

Attention of the Authorized Dealers is invited to Export Promotion Bureau’s Public Notice No.2(I)/2002-PPI dated January 01, 2003 on the captioned subject, in terms of which the Government has allowed 25% Freight Subsidy on exports of ‘new products’ and exports to ‘new markets’ in the light of Trade Policy 2002-03. Eligibility criteria for the said subsidy and Procedure for claiming the same have been laid out in the above-mentioned Public Notice. Copies of the above Public Notice and the following documents are enclosed for necessary action of the Authorized Dealers:-

i) Application Form.

ii) Format for submission of data by Banks to the Government.

The above documents, Annexure I containing a list of new Markets and Annexure II containing a list of all new products eligible under the above scheme can be downloaded from EPB’s website www.epb.gov.pk

The Banks are authorized to collect their handling charges at the fixed rate of Rs.100/- per transaction directly from the respective Exporter.
