Attention of Authorised Dealers is invited to Para 28, Chapter XVII of the Foreign Exchange Manual (Seventh Edition, 1992) in terms of which persons proceeding abroad on business visits are allowed exchange facility at the rate of US$ 200/- per day subject to a maximum of US$ 6,000/- per person for countries other than India and Afghanistan.

2. It has now been decided to enhance Business Travel Exchange Quota from US$ 200/- to US$ 300/- per day subject to a maximum from US$ 6,000/- to US$ 9,000/-.

3. Consequent upon the above decision the figures appearing in 2nd line of Para 28, Chapter XVII of the Foreign Exchange Manual (Seventh Edition, 1992) may be substituted with figures "US$ 300/-" and "US$ 9,000/-" respectively.

4. Other instructions on the subject shall, however, remain unchanged.
