INWARD REMITTANCES FROM ABROAD

We have to advice that although there are restrictions on affording credits to the foreign currency accounts of the persons and companies notified in para 1 of F.E. Circular No. 18 of 1998, it is hereby clarified for the information of the general public that there are no restrictions on receipt of foreign exchange from abroad. The Authorised Dealers may convert the amounts into Pakistan rupees at their T.T. Clean spot buying rate obtaining on the date of payment and pay the rupee equivalent to the beneficiaries of the remittances or credit the amounts to the beneficiaries’ rupee accounts.
