PRIVATE FOREIGN CURRENCY ACCOUNT IN PAKISTAN

Attention of the Authorized Dealers is invited to F.E. Circular No. 128 dated the 29th August, 1991 on the above subject.

2. In partial modification of the provisions of the above F.E. Circular, the words "including investment banks" appearing after the words "resident companies" are hereby deleted. It is also clarified that the words "resident companies" exclude the Investment Banks, Leasing companies and modaraba companies who have been granted restricted license to deal in foreign exchange enabling them to issue foreign currency certificates of Investment and airlines / shipping companies operating in/through Pakistan.
