SUBMISSION
OF EXCHANGE CONTROL COPY
OF BILL OF ENTRY IN RESPECT OF IMPORTS
In terms
of Para 45 (iii), Chapter XIII of the Exchange Control Manual
(Sixth Edition, 1987), Authorized Dealers are required to
submit a monthly overdue statement to the area Office of
the Exchange Control showing cases where Bills of Entry/Certified
Invoices have become overdue during the month. In case,
where concerned branches of the Authorized Dealers receive
from the importers Customs Bills of Entry/Certified invoices
subsequent to the dispatch of the relative monthly overdue
statement, they are required to send an advice to the concerned
area Exchange Control Office of the State Bank quoting the
month of the overdue statement and the Sr. No. at which
the relative item appears in the overdue Statement.
2. It has
been observed that the Authorized Dealers are not submitting
to the area Exchange Control Offices the advises in respect
of customs Bills of Entry/Certified invoices submitted by
the importers after submission of the overdue statement
contrary to the instructions prescribed in this behalf.
In order to avoid inconvenience to the importers, it has
been decided that in addition to the monthly overdue statement,
the Authorized Dealer will henceforth also submit monthly
statement of overdue cases reported but closed on the format
appended giving the details of cases where the Authorized
Dealers have deleted the items form the overdue statement
during the month under report either due to submission of
the Customs Bills of Entry/Certified invoices or under instructions
from the State Bank of Pakistan:-

3. This statement
for the month of May, 1992 should be submitted by the 30th
June, 1992 to the area offices and for subsequent months
by the 25th of the month alongwith the overdue
statement.
