FRONT

SECURITY FEATURES:

(a) Watermark

The impression of the Quaid-e-Azam’s portrait in the watermark appears on the left side of the note.

(b) Security Thread

The Security Thread bearing microprint “State Bank of Pakistan” appears in the right portion of the bank note.

PORTRAIT:

The portrait of the Quaid-e-Azam appears on the right side of the note.

LETTERING:

The denomination numeral in Urdu is placed on the top right and in English on the bottom left side. The central portion of the note is occupied by the following details in Urdu calligraphy: -

The State Bank of Pakistan,

The Denomination,

The Promissory Clause,

The Guarantee Clause,

The Governor, State Bank of Pakistan, `

LITHOGRAPHY:

Strong rainbow appears on both front and back. In addition the floral pattern appearing on one side of the watermark register from front to back on the note, thus providing an excellent authentication feature.

A flat rainbow line tint appears on either side of the note in the watermark area, thus providing good visibility to the portrait watermark image.

NUMBER AND SIGNATURE:

(a) SIGNATURE

The signature of the Governor, State Bank of Pakistan appears above the Authority’s designation.

(b) NUMBER

The number containing seven digits with the prefix appears on the left upper side and it also appears below the portrait on the lower right side.

SEA-THROUGH:

Floral tile pattern at outer edge of watermark.

BACK

LETTERING:

The words “State Bank of Pakistan” in English appear on the top of the note. The words “FIVE HUNDRED RUPEES” in English appear at the bottom. The denomination numeral in Urdu appears in the top left corner of the note. The denomination numeral in English appears on the bottom right corner of the note. The Urdu inscription “Husool-e-Rizq Halal Ibadat Hai” appears below the words “FIVE HUNDRED RUPEES” in the centre.

SEAL:

The Seal of the “State Bank of Pakistan” appears below the words “State Bank of Pakistan” in the centre.

VIGNETTE:

The State Bank building, Islamabad forms the vignette at the back.
